I want to re-furbish branded Golf balls. New Golf Balls sells in the market for USD70.00 per ball. I planning to hire people to go collect all Used Golf Balls from golf clubs in ASIA countries and I want to set up a backyard factory to re-furbish the used and old branded golf balls and sell to small and medium size retailers for USD3.00-USD5.00. The re-furbished used golf balls will look near mint quality and it is difficult to identify the difference between original brand golf balls and re-furbished. My question is, do I have to obtain the permission from the brand owner in black and white about me intending to collect their brand used golf balls to make it look like new? Do you think the brand owner will allow me to re-furbish and sell the near mint balls so cheap in these countries? Will the owner will sue me and take me to court and obtain monetary judgment ? Will i lose all my investment to start up this venture? Please let me know your thoughts?

The only thing I should point out is that there are many sellers of used balls already in existence and, I hope you understand the aerodynamics of the outer covering of these wonderful little balls. Perhaps you have already tested the market by making enquiries as to whether you will be able to sell your product and make money from it?
